Uploading to your website with Dreamweaver

To set up Dreamweaver:
- From the top menu select Site, then the option New Site. The setup wizard is displayed.
- Select that you do not want to use server technology.
Note: Coldfusion, ASP.NET, JSP or PHP are not currently supported on the BT Connect platform.
- Select how you wish to work with your files. You can either work off the copies live on the server or work off local files (the files on your PC hard drive) and then upload changes to your server. BT recommend that you work on local files because that way you will always have a back-up copy and can test changes before uploading them to your site.
You are asked how you want to connect to your local server, select FTP, and supply the following settings:
- FTP server address: ftphost.btconnect.com (Web Hosting Lite customers)
- ftp.primarydomain.co.uk (Business Pack Web Hosting or Advanced Web Hosting customers)
- Folder: public/
- FTP Login: Your free web space name (Web Hosting Lite customers)
- Your primary domain name (Business Pack Web Hosting or Advanced Web Hosting customers)
- FTP Password: Your FTP password
- You should be able to test your connection now and start copying files to your website.
Note: BT recommend that you use the Passive FTP setting when using Dreamweaver for FTP.
